WAGO I/O System Field

WAGO’s new IP67 rated I/O SYSTEM FIELD provides dependable, cabinet-free automation designed to meet the requirements of modern decentralized production facilities.  There are two types of housings available; the cast zinc housings with encapsulated electronics can be used in harsh environments, while the lightweight non-encapsulated plastic housing is designed for mobile applications such as robots.

These new modules support popular IIoT protocols such as OPC UA and MQTT for connection to SCADA systems and cloud servers. They also support industrial fieldbuses and are Profinet based with future releases able to support EtherNet/IP and EtherCat protocols.  With enough flexibility to set up your own type of connection, these modules can be configured via smart device app using Bluetooth technology or over the network. They are also designed for the time-sensitive networking (TSN) standard.

The SYSTEM FIELD is equipped with innovative load management.  Current and voltage levels can be recorded and evaluated. Overload limits and alarms can be set for each channel to notify maintenance of any issues with out-of-spec conditions.  This can help with condition-based monitoring to reduce or eliminate unplanned shutdowns.

With configurable DIO ports, one SYSTEM FIELD module can do it all.  Each channel is configurable for a 24 VDC digital input or output rated at 2 amps per channel allowing you enough current to run critical high-powered devices.  Variants of these modules act as I/O-Link clients that can connect to I/O devices giving you greater visibility of what is happening on the factory floor.
