RSA is in search of a Sales Engineer/Technical Account Manager, to manage our South Chicagoland Territory. The successful candidate is responsible for the management and growth of OEM and MRO sales to industrial OEMs, custom machine builders and manufacturing facilities in their defined territory. They will also ensure that profit and growth will be in accordance with strategic priorities and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Grows and maintains business at key accounts
- Finds and develops new customers
- Develops relationships at multiple levels within the potential and current customer organizations
- Focuses sales efforts by strategically planning activities, assessing opportunity and selling customers on the value and benefit to having applications developed and installed by the company
- Works closely with the company’s various manufacturers and business partners with winning design specifications and growing the sales territory
- Provides insight and information to management on the activities in the account base
- Monitors competitors by gathering current marketplace information
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have a BS in a relevant field, preferably in engineering, and 3 to 5 years of practical sales experience or an equal combination of education and experience.
